W8JRB Communications website was set up back in 2008, to have downloads for Radio Shack and GRE police scanners to update frequencies and talk groups this was when I worked for Radio Shack. A lot has changed since I’m no longer working for Radio Shack since they went out of business. I have changed the design of the website a lot. My dad and I got our first amateur radio license back in 2006. We were members of the OHKYIN Amateur Radio Society, and volunteer at Hamfest in Dayton, Oh. We also went to field day in June. Field Day is to practice our skills in setting up portable field stations to use in the event of an emergency and compete with other ham operators around the world. I have continued W8JRB Communications Site in memory of my dad John(W9JRB), that lost his battle with cancer in 2008. 

I just got into DMR Radio this year(2021). Learning new things every day. I am using a hotspot to communicate on the air digitally. DMR is known as Digital Mobile Radio.
